Solo Exhibition

During the summer of 2023 Resipole Studios hosted the first solo exhibition of my work.

MARA brought together a collection of landscape paintings inspired by the west coast of Scotland and it was amazing to see my work fill one of the gallery spaces. It was a little bit daunting too, because each painting represented a very personal interpretation of, and an emotional reaction to the landscape. I remember feeling anxious about how other people would respond to my work but as it turned out, everyone was so incredibly supportive, and it was a most fabulous and positive experience.

I felt so grateful to everyone who attended the opening and visited the gallery during the exhibition and for the encouraging feedback. Eight paintings were sold in the exhibition, a few more from the gallery website, and several small artworks from a stand also found new homes! It was an incredibly humbling experience.

Most of all I felt so grateful to Andrew and Kerrie at Resipole Studios for giving me the opportunity to show my work and for creating and promoting such a beautiful exhibition.
