A Journey with my Sketchbook

I carry a sketchbook with me almost everywhere I go. 

My sketchbooks are filled with work using pastels, inks and charcoal — materials that are expressive, immediate and easy to travel with.

In my studio, a converted space above the garage, I revisit my sketches to develop composition, mark-making and atmosphere in greater depth. 

All my best ideas come out of this process. Sketching is integral to developing my practice.
