Pittenweem Art Festival 2026

I spent a lovely day with my friend Gill at the Pittenweem Art Festival earlier this month. This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The festival runs from 1st - 8th August so we headed along on the Wednesday and lucked in with dry and sunny weather which made the experience even more enjoyable... especially when rain showers were passing over North Berwick Law and the Bass Rock on the other side of the Forth. This year we decided to leave our studio visits to serendipity...no plan...just a wander round the narrow streets and along the shore front popping in and out of exhibition spaces to look at beautiful paintings, jewellery and ceramics. We had great discussions with the artists and makers and I was delighted to meet some of the artists that I follow on Instagram in person:) It was wonderful to catch up with Amanda Buchanan Hutchison from littlewrenstudio who paints the most glorious birds, horses and other creatures. We also met artist Al Bell and we both bought one of his paintings which was pretty special too!
